Medical and diagnostic division of JOKOH-Tokyo, in collaboration with System Developmen DATT-Sapporo,
opens a new Nanotech information website, the first in Japan, based on artificial intelligence (AI).
It identifies and collects important news flowing through the Internet, by creating a summary of information to support researchers and companies.
JOKOH has just put into operation a test site "News NanoMaTech" active from November 5, whose improved version will officially
start up next February 2019. During the tests, JOKOH and DATT promoted specific topics related to
nanotechnologies such as biological and metals engineering, based on user requests.
Both companies applied a text analysis technology that uses AI developed by Professor Masaki Murata of the University of Tottori.
Character data are analyzed by the frequency and trend of the appearance, by the correlation between words, time series, etc.
And useful information is extracted from a large amount of documents. It is a related technology of "deep learning" in which AI
learns the problem by solving it automatically. DATT positions the establishment of information site as Professor Murata's first step
in practical application of AI technology.
The company is also considering application to other technological developments such as automatic answering system for call center.
The new web site will be presented by JOKOH at the nanotechnology fair FUJI NO KUNI CNF General Exhibition
to be held in Fuji City Shizuoka Prefecture on 24 August 2019.
